Biography
Dmitry Smirnov, winner of the 2nd price at the renowned ARD Music Competition, has already documented his exceptional artistic work on three albums, two of them as a soloist with the Basel Chamber Orchestra under the direction of Heinz Holliger.
As a much sought-after soloist and chamber musician, he has recently performed with leading figures such as Sol Gabetta, Ilya Gringolts and Philipp Herreweghe.

In December 2023, Dmitry Smirnov made his debut with the Deutsches Symphonie-Orchester at the Philharmonie Berlin. Patricia Kopachinskaya praised his interpretation of Stravinsky’s Violin Concerto with the words:
